BlueWave Computing announced its legal victory today over Project Paperless LLC. Project Paperless LLC made patent infringement claims amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars against BlueWave and scores of other small businesses in Atlanta and eastern Virginia, alleging that their use of everyday printer/scanners on their networks required a patent license from Project Paperless. BlueWave refused to settle, fought the case in US District Court and declared victory when Project Paperless dismissed the case unconditionally.
