A lawsuit against Biomet over its M2a Magnum metal-on-metal hip implant will proceed, as the judge has overruled the device maker’s efforts to use federal law to preempt the claims against it, reports Parker Waichman LLP. The firm continues to actively file lawsuits on behalf of those who have suffered serious injuries, including the need for revision surgery, allegedly caused by Biomet’s metal-on-metal hip implant system.
